I recently came across the concept of Internet marking after looking an Ad in a weekly news paper. Then started googling about this in detail..
found the foll facts helps make the page ranking better..
so thought that i ll share them with u all..
search engine crawling process:
All popular serach engines get the top ten sites either from the "Directory" where a page owner himself updates the iinfo reg his website or using a spl program called crawler / spider. The crawler's job is to visit the webpage and update/store the info contained in it in a massive data store . Then the stored pages are indexed. This is one part of the story.
The search software or the client ranks these indexed pages and gets the top ten on the first page when u hit the serach button in ur browser.
being listed on the first page is the great challenge..
we need to consider the foll factors inorder to improve our visibility..
Page ranking factors:
1. location and frequency- The(search) keyword targeted to ur site is preferably in the title/ head section of the HTML Page
Off page factors :
1. no of pages ur page link to counts
2. freuency a user lands on your page is important
Tips for target keywords
1. The title should always be more than a word that describes the purpose of ur site precisely
2. All the pages in the site need to have some target keywords
3. keywords should occur in key locations like Title
5. preferably headlines and first paragraphs of the page got the keywords
6. careful: tables can push your keywords down
7. java script also got the same effect: engines read scripts first and pushes the text down. make sure ur scripts are towards the end of ur html doc.
8. create relevant content
9. Add relevant links and references
10. create static pages rather than dynamic pages
11. Link all the pages in your website thru the home page
12. Avoid using frames as search engines might not consider them
13. Link to major sites that ur keyword matches( or have relevant to ur site)
14. Submit the key pages to the search engine ( submit the alternative pages also)
15. keep a check on the pages u submit( use some tool like analytics)
16. Resubmit the pages whenever u make vast changes to the site (engine will recrawl)
17. use "meta" tag in the head section of the HTML doc to help the search engine with the keywords.

Wanna learn new languages.... ???
This week end , my cousin visited my house. She was in a need to learn Protuguese as she needs to travel to Angola shortly. Asked me whether I knew some foreign language training center..?
I started to google immediately..

The tutorials has got a number of learning modules like which starts from simple animals, birds, vegetables etc.. to small sentences like .. how to speak with a bearer in a restaurant... etc. This has got tutorials both in native language format and transliteraed format..

"Dieting".... Does it really work???
Today having nothing to do with issues , I started reading about how calorie and weight loss are related to each other? I Got to know some interesting facts like
1. What dieting really means?
It means adopting healthy low calorie diet like vegetables, cereals, fruits and fiber rich food and it is not actually eating less amount of the normal high calorie diet.
2. fiber rich foods help us lose weight more easily
Our Main source of energy is blood sugar.when we eat food items with hish sugar content and other carbohydrates , it converts directly to blood sugar with the help of insulin secretion from pancreas. As blood sugar is already available the fat cells will not be used and the excess blood sugar is stored as fat to be used during starvation. Fiber foods helps to maintain the blood sugar and stops the surge of insulin and hence to help metabolism , body automatically looks for the fat stores. Fiber food also helps to clean the bowels. But fiber consumption is directly proportional to water consumption, other wise it results in constipation.
3. Metabolism increases the fat burning process than fats do. all kinds of strength building excercises help us develop our muscles and keep our metabolism on 24 * 7. cardio excercises like aerobics, swimming, running and walking also helps this metabolism but not like strength building
4. we need to consume what ever we can burn... Simple principle for weight loss ( in theory.. But How about practice :) )
Finally, I feel it is not just Dieting and excersice but also " AWARENESS" that helps to lose weight.

Want to rise early.....??
After watching the famous "Neeya Naana" show in Vijay TV, I realized that this is worth a topic to think about. Not only that, My mom also used to tell me in my school days to get up early.
Out of curiosity, I used to try different ways like going to bed early(even though i dont feel that sleepy), have a great dinner so that i will feel sleepy soon.. every thing used to work only for that particualar day. Now I am working for a company, even now, I don't know what early morning means... :-)
I casullay browsed through this site : http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog/2005/05/how-to-become-an-early-riser/ . Then I realized trying to correct both the time when we get into bed and the time we are planning to rise will not pay. when we adjust one , Other one automatically becomes k.
That is simple formula. But after knowing this, please don't ask me if I am following .. That 's tough question for me :-)

No House is Complete without Vaasthu... But is that all possible now ????
Today, as i have got nothing to do at office, I was left with no other option except to google. I found something interesting about Vaasthu. We would have heard of the famous newton's law " Energy is neither created nor destroyed, .. , etc.." . All those physics meant to me only today.

No matter how small it is, if we have one for our own family, its like heaven to us. Who will undergo all the tortures of managing the house owner, maintainence etc. That too living in an apartment is very peaceful as compared to individual houses where we need to be responsible for every single thing right from operating the motor to clearing the dustbin
Will there be any scope for Vaasthu amidst these sky scrapers ?? !! ... Very unlikely :(

............................................FACT BEHIND UR BEHAVIOUR
There are two types of nerves in our body based on the function they do.
- Sympathetic Nerves
- Para Sympathetic Nerves
Sympathetic nerves are responsible for all the activities. para Sympathetic nerves are responsible for the relaxation or rest. This is what called as Suriya nadi and chandra nadi in yogic terms.
For an ideal person, both these nadis or nerves should be balanced.(meaning work and rest are balanced) . But when a person is hyper-active or very lazy, there is an imbalance in these nadis and it definitely will lead the person to disease gradually.
So A balanced diet, balanced work and rest should be adopted to lead a long and healthy life.
Practicing pranayamas and other yogic practices will help us maintain this balance.
I dont know whether we can put it to practice, But I surely hope this is informative and creates an awareness .....

Refelexology... what is it???
Recently , I came across this word when i was reading a monthly magazine. just out of curiosity, i went thru the article and browsed some facts in google..
Reflexology is a technique that is used to massage our feet and hands where the nerves from different parts of the body forms a hub . if we give proper massage here, it rejunavates all parts of the body.However, It is only a supplement to the undergoing treatment and not complete by itself.
Not only this happens in legs, but also in hands.
Most of the pain occurs for humans only when the emotions are not released and get stagnated in the cell memory. This stagnated /negative energy is felt as something hard in the fist/feet. if we give proper massage to such regions, it will relieve the stress in that part of the body where there is energy stagnation.
so a ten minute massage to our feet and hands daily will pay a huge returns in terms of health!!!
Little things in life make a big difference! :)

Being Positively positive
When we want to do something, and we fail in that people say..
"STAY POSITIVE !!! "
But take a minute and ask yourself ..
"Am I thinking Poistive..?
How does that word translate to action?"
lets take examples and understand them better..
A person says "I don't like to be fat like this.."
If u take the above statement, the person clearly conveys the message to another person.. But does he convey to himself... ??
What I mean by this is.. when he says I dont like to be fat.. He is imagining himself to be fat..
This is once.. when he keeps on doing this.. it gets strongly fixed in his subconcious mind that he is fat.. and even if his wish is otherwise the force from the subconcious mind won't let him to do so..
thats why we hear people saying.. " I WISH TO DO SOMETHING .. BUT I M NOT ABLE TO DO SO.."
But when he imagines himself to be lean.. that gets settled at all mind levels... Hence always imagine what you want to be.. and not what you dont want to be..
finally,
"POSITIVE THINKING SHOULD BE REALLY POSITIVE..."
