The food we take usually falls under two categories : Acidic , Alkaline.. In a normal person's food, the acid to alkaline ratio needs to be 20:80.
But these days, whatever food we are fond of like chocolates , tinned foods , microwaved ones , chats etc.. are acidic. More the acidic content we take , more the fat we require inorder to save our internal organs from being affected by those acids.Hence the chances of obesity are more.It does not mean that Obesity is only because of this.People who take a lot of calories either way are prone to obesity. But the nature of food they take matters a lot and contributes a great way towards a person's BMI.
By taking more of alkaline foods like fresh vegiies, fruits our body tend to lose the extra fat it has deposited over the organs.(oflate, I came to know why mom keeps telling me eat vegetables :P hehe . Don't ask me vil u do atleast from now .. :) may be.. may not be.. depends on mood ya.. :P )
Adding further to this, state of stress, tension etc increases the acidity and thats why elders ask us to take water to neutralize the effect.. (dono if it is true.. but that flashed my brain as i read thru this)

Wanna know your body Better ?
I recently came to know some facts about our body like - we feel the pain only in the brain whenever any part of the body gets injured, but brain cannot feel pain coz it lacks sense of touch. so when an operation needs to be performed on the brain, no anesthesia is needed unlike other parts. similarly, about stomach, kidneys , the kinds of disesases we get if these organs malfunction.
They were all part of the annual health publishing from Vikatan under the title "From Head to Toe"
http://www.visiblebody.com/start.
This site was a supplement to my reading. The entire drama happening inside our body is well screen-played in this site.
It may not be interesting to all but definitely informative ! :)

Let's leave our FooTpRiNTs on the Web..!!
Recently we had a conference in our office as a part of OSMOSIS (which is our Technical show annually). We had Vinod Deshmuk and Kamran Ozair interacting with the crowd and gave their views on different topics. One of them was WEB 2.0. and that was the one that caught my attention to the most.
I had heard this term often from my java collegues, But never looked into what it actually was. From what Vinod said- Web 2.0 is next generation web where people need not stop with passive-browsing , emailing, chatting but go one step further and actively participate in terms of creating their own spaces on the web to share their views, share photos, provide RSS feeds, Pod casts, wikis etc where there is increased collaboration and sharing
http://www.go2web20.net/
I came across this site casually when i was browsing. This is an excellent site which has got a lot of web 2.0 tools like RSS , free language learning(:http://www.mangolanguages.com/), Meeting online, storage online , free website desinging, name card designer .. etc (about 100categories are listed and tools are listed.. )
Damn good site !!

SKills.. skiLLs..come, lets learn some ...
Today, when i was browsing casually, I went in to this site..
http://www.mindtools.com/
here is the gist of what i derived from this site :
what ever may be one's career, he needs some basic HR , stress magmt , time mgmt apart from his techies.. All these things , it might mean simple to us.. but these skills are the major differentiating factors.
Most of the time , a person's problem is he does not know what his problem is ??? .. If we understand our problem properly, we will have numerous solutions infront of us.. choosing one of those is again a head ache.. that s also beacause of us as we are not certain what we need..
As we see more.. our greed/desire also grows proportionately..
This site helps us to map what is there in our mind and make us identify our problem..
After understanding the problem, it is entirely depends upon the person's soul attitude/ decision to arrive at his solution.
There is also a open source tool "FreeMind" which can be downloaded from
http://sourceforge.net/projects/freemind/
[My thoughts]
All this is fine .. but I did some serious thinking about this.. every one around us keep telling planning.. planning.. imagine i do planning for the whole of life..Then won't i become like a machine executing my own instructions.. whats the fun there???
But life s like that .. we do some thing , we are getting some thing.. why can't we do good and get some thing good for us and our near and dear ones ?
